We are having KelpFest 2010 on April 24, 2010 at Main Beach Laguna from 9-5 To celebrate giant kelp forests and their return to Laguna Beach.
More than 800 species rely on kelp forests. We are one of them!
Southern California had lost as much as 80% of its kelp forests. Kelp forests had been gone from Laguna Beach for more than 20 years. Over the last 8 years, the work of thousands of people have restored these forests and we need to celebrate!
